SonarQube Cloud in the terminal

SonarQube Cloud checks code for bugs, security problems and maintainability issues. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “why did the quality gate fail on this pull request?” or list the open security hotspots in a project.

Install takes a SonarQube Cloud token.

  • Search code quality issues
  • Review security hotspots
  • Check quality gate status
  • Read project metrics

Install the CLI, then connect SonarQube Cloud

SonarQube Cloud takes a key, pasted in the browser and kept encrypted on GBrain's servers. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What SonarQube Cloud is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help sonarqube-cloud

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

SonarQube Cloud's commands come from SonarQube Cloud's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same SonarQube Cloud through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
