S&P Global in the terminal

S&P Global provides financial data and ratings; this connection reaches S&P Capital IQ data through Kensho, its AI unit. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “how has this company’s margin changed over five years?” or summarize the last earnings call.

It needs an S&P Capital IQ subscription, and the connection only reads.

  • Pull company financials
  • Read capitalization and ratios
  • Read earnings call transcripts
  • Look up M&A activity and competitors

Install the CLI, then connect S&P Global

S&P Global is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What S&P Global is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help s-p-global

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

S&P Global's commands come from S&P Global's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same S&P Global through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.
