Postman in the terminal

Postman is a platform for building and testing APIs. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can find the request that calls an endpoint, explain what an API spec covers, or set up a collection from a new spec.

  • Manage workspaces
  • Read and edit collections and requests
  • Manage environments
  • Work with API specs, mocks and monitors

Install the CLI, then connect Postman

Postman is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What Postman is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help postman

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

Postman's commands come from Postman's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same Postman through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
