Linear in the terminal

Linear is issue tracking for product teams. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “what’s left in this cycle?”, turn a bug report into an issue, or post a project update.

  • Search, create and update issues
  • Read and update projects
  • Add comments
  • Look up teams and cycles

Install the CLI, then connect Linear

Linear is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What Linear is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help linear

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

Linear's commands come from Linear's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same Linear through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
