HubSpot is where many sales, marketing and support teams keep their contacts, deals and conversations. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “which deals have gone quiet this month?”, brief someone on a company before a call, or pull together what a contact has heard from the team.
HubSpot lets an AI in through an MCP connector made in the HubSpot account. You make one for GBrain once, paste its client ID and secret, and sign in on HubSpot’s own page. GBrain sees and changes only what each person’s own HubSpot login can, and you choose in each workspace whether it may only read or also make changes.
Why HubSpot takes an extra step
Most applications let GBrain register itself the first time someone signs in. HubSpot doesn’t: its MCP server only accepts a connector that someone in the HubSpot account has made. So each HubSpot account makes one for GBrain, once, and everyone who connects from that account uses it.
Setting it up
- In HubSpot, open Development, then MCP Connectors, and create an MCP connector for GBrain.
- Enter this as its redirect URL:
https://gbrain.io/oauth/mcp/callback - In GBrain, open Tools, then Add an application, and choose HubSpot.
- Paste the connector’s client ID and client secret, and press Sign in to HubSpot.
- Approve GBrain on HubSpot’s own sign-in page.
From then on it renews and disconnects like any other sign-in. GBrain keeps the client secret encrypted, sends it only to mcp.hubspot.com, HubSpot’s sign-in, and no AI or workspace ever receives it. When you disconnect, it is deleted once HubSpot has been told.
