Honeycomb in the terminal

Honeycomb is observability for tracing what a request did across services. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “which endpoint got slower after the deploy?” and show the traces behind it.

Honeycomb’s connection only reads.

  • Run queries over events
  • Read traces
  • Look up boards
  • Check SLOs and triggers

Install the CLI, then connect Honeycomb

Honeycomb is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What Honeycomb is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help honeycomb

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

Honeycomb's commands come from Honeycomb's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same Honeycomb through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
