FactSet in the terminal

FactSet is financial data for investment professionals. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “how did revenue compare to consensus last quarter?” or pull an earnings call transcript into a memo.

It needs a FactSet subscription, and the connection only reads.

  • Read company fundamentals
  • Look up consensus estimates
  • Pull prices
  • Check ownership, events and transcripts

Install the CLI, then connect FactSet

FactSet is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What FactSet is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help factset

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

FactSet's commands come from FactSet's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same FactSet through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
