Datadog in the terminal

Datadog monitors servers, apps and the services they call. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “what changed when latency spiked at 2am?”, pulling logs, traces and metrics into one account of the incident.

Datadog’s connection only reads.

  • Search logs
  • Read traces and spans
  • Query metrics
  • Check monitors and incidents

Install the CLI, then connect Datadog

Datadog is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What Datadog is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help datadog

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

Datadog's commands come from Datadog's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same Datadog through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
