Algolia in the terminal

Algolia runs the search box on a lot of websites and apps. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “what are people searching for that returns nothing?” or check how an index is set up.

Algolia’s connection only reads.

  • Search an index
  • Read search analytics
  • Check index settings

Install the CLI, then connect Algolia

Algolia is connected on its own sign-in page, in the browser. A key or a sign-in never passes through the terminal.

# Install the CLI
curl -sSL https://gbrainio.terminalwire.sh | bash

# Set the terminal up and connect it
gbrainio terminal connect

# What Algolia is, and each of its commands once it is connected
gbrainio tool help algolia

The installer is a shell script for macOS and Linux. Read it before you run it.

Algolia's commands come from Algolia's own server once it is connected, so none are listed here.

Same tools, any AI

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex reach the same Algolia through MCP, on the same permission and the same record.

How the whole thing fits

One level per application, one daily limit, one record, across every AI and terminal that asks.
