Half of the comparison
“Customers who left didn’t connect anything in week one” means nothing until you know how many customers who stayed didn’t either. This writes that side: a story per long-paying customer in the same shape Why They Leave uses, with the same moments, so Warning Signs can tell a real warning from something everybody does.
What it does
- Finds customers who have paid for at least two months, from Stripe.
- Reads their calls, their email and their usage week by week, looking hardest at the first two weeks.
- Writes one story per customer in the same shape Why They Leave uses.
- Marks customers who still pay but stopped using it, so they are not counted as happy customers.
The reveal
Twelve of the seventeen customers still paying had stopped using it. They were not staying. They were next month’s cancellations.
Configuration
- The same sources as Why They Leave: Stripe, your mailboxes, your calls tool, your usage source.
- How long counts as staying: two months by default.
- How often: when you ask, or every Sunday, if an available scheduler can run the work and you approve it.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t write to customers.
- It doesn’t quote customers or name anyone else in a story.
Triggers
Runs when you ask (“why do people stay”, “write up our best customers”). A weekly batch needs a verified scheduler and your approval; otherwise it writes one bounded batch now and saves where it got to.
