Podcast Notes

Turns a podcast episode into a clean transcript plus highlight notes, filed in your library so an hour of audio takes a minute to revisit.

The episode you meant to finish, turned into notes

Give your assistant a podcast episode, from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or an RSS feed, and it fetches the audio, writes a clean transcript, and pulls the highlights into notes you can keep and search.

What it does

  • Takes an episode from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or a direct feed and grabs the audio for you.
  • Writes a clean, timestamped transcript with speakers labeled.
  • Pulls the highlights: the main threads, the best lines, the people and ideas worth remembering.
  • Files everything in your library, so an hour-long episode becomes something you can revisit in a minute.

The reveal

A friend swears by one episode. You paste the link before a walk. By the time you are back there is a transcript and a tidy set of highlights waiting, the one segment you needed already quoted. You keep the payoff without the hour.

What it doesn’t do

  • It works with public podcast feeds, not private or subscriber-only ones.
  • If an episode lives only on a platform that will not share the audio, it tells you rather than guessing at the contents.

Configuration

  • A transcription key: the audio is transcribed through a service (AssemblyAI). You add your key once in Settings.
  • What to ingest: an episode link (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or a feed), or a show plus an episode number.
  • Where notes live: everything is saved to your library, grouped by show.

Triggers

Runs on demand: give your assistant an episode and ask for notes.
