Geospatial research on US places, built as maps and tables.
MAIA is a geospatial research engine for questions about places in the United States, from parcels and owners to zoning, buildings and businesses. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “which vacant parcels over an acre in Santa Clara County are zoned for housing, and who owns them?” with a map and table in MAIA.
GBrain gives MAIA a command line too. From a terminal, a
script or Claude Code,
gbrainio tool help maia
lists its commands once it is connected.
You sign in on MAIA's own page. No key to copy. Then add it to a workspace, and anyone on the team can ask about it in plain words.
