What GBrain can do with DataHub

DataHub is an open-source data catalog for discovering, understanding and governing data. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “who owns the orders table, and what breaks if it changes?” or draft SQL against the right tables.

  • Search datasets, dashboards, pipelines and documents
  • Trace lineage at the table and column level
  • Read schemas, owners and the SQL queries that use a table
  • Add tags, glossary terms, owners and descriptions

From the command line

GBrain gives DataHub a command line too. From a terminal, a script or Claude Code, gbrainio tool help datahub lists its commands once it is connected.
