What GBrain can do with CourtListener

CourtListener is the Free Law Project’s legal research site, a nonprofit archive of millions of US court opinions, PACER dockets, judge profiles and oral arguments. Connected to a workspace, GBrain can answer “has the Ninth Circuit ruled on this question since 2020?” or check every citation in a draft brief against the record.

It can also set and remove alerts, so a team hears when a docket it follows moves.

  • Search case law across federal and state courts
  • Pull dockets, judge profiles and oral arguments
  • Extract and check legal citations
  • Set alerts for new opinions and docket updates

From the command line

GBrain gives CourtListener a command line too. From a terminal, a script or Claude Code, gbrainio tool help courtlistener lists its commands once it is connected.
