The video you keep meaning to watch, distilled into notes

Paste a YouTube link and your assistant does the watching for you: it pulls the talk, writes a clean transcript, and hands you the key points as notes you can search later. Point it at a whole channel and it works through the backlog.

What it does

• Takes a single video link or a channel and gathers the talks worth keeping.
• Writes a clean, timestamped transcript for each one.
• Pulls out the key points: the main arguments, the memorable lines, the people and companies named.
• Saves everything to your library, so a talk you watched once stays findable by what it was actually about.

The reveal

Someone sends you a 90 minute interview “you have to watch.” You paste the link. A few minutes later there is a transcript and a page of key points in your library, the best quotes already pulled. You got the substance without losing the evening.

What it doesn’t do

• It cannot always reach every video. Some are locked down hard, and when a talk simply cannot be fetched it tells you rather than inventing notes.
• It is for keeping notes for yourself, not for republishing anyone’s video.

Configuration

• A transcription key: the spoken audio is transcribed through a service (AssemblyAI). You add your key once in Settings.
• What to ingest: a single video link, or a channel to work through.
• Where notes live: everything is saved to your library, organized by source.
